I Write Poetry
“Her Ranch”
Seeping through the pastel canvas which drips off the artist’s brush,
Caressed by the bees-their wings flutter,
Touching me gently on the hem of my dress,
Caught up in slumber- walking in my sleep,
Falling to the deep regions of the grass,
Overwhelmed by notions of an ultimate romance.
Pearls of glimmering values behold the fairy tales of rhymes,
Silent lolling kisses placed up on his lips divine,
Tears of untold laughter- brings to sleep all of life’s fears,
Shattered memories of you -now dwells in the river of Clearing Green,
It sings a song so heightened- it gives Jupiter its mass,
Overwhelmed by notions of an ultimate Romance.
Hungry for a wondrous moment it consumes my heart entire,
Like re-evaluating one’s self worth,
I catch my glimpse in mirrors,
While those horses hooves are ranting,
The skies humidity keeps damp,
Overwhelmed by notions of an Ultimate Romance.
And my lullaby of childhood laughter,
That brings me to my knees,
As I meditate on a love so fantastic -that it’s gratified by ease,
All the garden’s enamored perfumes- are set softly on “Her Ranch”,
Overwhelmed by notions of an Ultimate Romance.
