Butterfly Mystics

In the midst of your cloudy existence

The mist parts to let in a soft rainbow

She flutters in to the palm of your hand

Though it is no fault of your own

Bitterly you question her presence

Evil blue eyes gaze into her fickle green ones

Her wide exotic eyes tantalize your senses

You pretend to not want to touch her silken hair

Feigning to notice her eagerly inviting lips

It is so easy to crush her dainty wings

Even though she may never be able to fly again

Could you possibly accept that you are one of the rare

Blessed with her love that is given so freely

The only thing she asks in return is shared pleasure

Something small and tender

A feather light caress from your lips

Or something intense

Both of your bodies shaken to the core after deep lovemaking

Could you possibly lose yourself in her contagious laughter

Maybe sprouting wings of your own

Then you could escape your shadow ridden world

As insane as the existence of this colorful pixie sounds,

Could it actually be what keeps you sane?
