Sue the mother *******. If it is in your contract with them that they own the stuff, you are somewhat screwed. But, if not sue the bastards.

They gave me a BS reason....LOL

My opinion...this company has a reputation for not liking women to grow big agencies.

I know you're angry and hurting but I was just reading in a book called 'The Path To Transformation" and came across something that made me think of you and your situation. Here is the passage:

"It often takes a personal crisis of some kind to catalyze real change and growth in our lives. Looking back an event such as a death of a loved one, loss of relationship or loss of a job, ...has led to greater understanding and opportunities in your life. Times of chaos and uncertainty can lead to new doors opening especially when we are able to look for the growth opportunities in the situation rather than being overwhelmed by outside circumstances. It is the nature of the human soul to constantly move forward into greater challenge, expansion and awareness. We have simply outgrown an old way of relating to the world. An old way of being is dissolving, making way for a new more expanded, and more conscious way. So we may lose a job, or relationship because it is too limiting; it would not allow us to expand in the direction we need to go."

I hope this is the opening of a new door for you. Good luck in your transformation

This is horrible! If you're a believer in karma however, it's going to bite them in the butt and bad!

I hope the support you're receiving on EP is helping you through this though.

Im really sorry Lexus that is quite disgusting of them to do to be honest, I mean how are people supposed to get ahead when you put your everything into something and they can just walk along and take it without a care in the world.

Again I am so sorry -hug-

By the way, in most states, noncompetes do not hold up in court. Also in some states, if you are "fired" they cannot enforce a noncompete as you have to be able to earn a living. Go to the web....you may be suprised as to your rights.

Hire a lawyer.....make it ugly for them......maybe you can get some compensation for this. I am in the same business....sounds like a company that begins with "F".

I'm not that familiar with the insurance world so this may be a dumb question but..... Can you attack as a free agent? Go to the people you have built relationships with and take back the business or do it through another insurance company. You must have built some pretty good relationships over your tenure.

I can see why you weren't in the frame of mind to write about this immediately; it's a betrayal and theft that encompasses so much time and energy and effort.

Of course, knowing how hard it is to keep a good woman (on a horse) down, they may well live to regret their decision; there is little doubt in my mind that you brought specific and tangible quality to their business that only shows up in balance sheets when its gone.

    More power to you Lexus!!
