Western Ireland Or Northern Spain

I'm pretty lucky in that having been able to travel a bit, mostly Europe.  So far I think the two places I would like to live if I could would be the west coast of Ireland and the north of Spain, especially Catalunya.  Both are similar in that they're rugged and green, sorta wild places.  If I had to pick, I'd probably go with Ireland, since they speak English it would be an easier transition for me!
