Words to Live By!

Mom told me to 'live each day as if it were your last', she actually wrote it in my 8th grade autograph book and it stuck with me.

Dad told me never to let an adult hear me cuss because it showed disrespect, and I was about 9 or 10 years old.  So to this day , I don't cuss at all  but sometimes I do feel like it.

Those are awesome words of wisdom! It's hard for me to live by the first one though, since I'm such a worrier.

TheAvonChica, that's a good one. Many times we all plan on doing something but of course it never gets done, then we justify it by saying 'it's the thought that counts', so not true!!

My mom always taught my sister and I that "the smallest deed far outweighs the greatest intention." I've always remembered that and try to live by that!

LilAnnie, my parents told me that stuff too. They're also words to live by.

mojo7, I'm so sorry you had to hear that but do you think she really meant it? Sometimes I admit I feel like saying it but would never do that to my child, it would be devastating.

"Never store food in the same container you serve it in." "When in doubt, throw it out." "If you have to pay for something with a credit card, you can't afford it." etc. etc. LOL! They are very practical people.

Manners are the surest sign of good breeding.

The one thing my mother told me that has stuck with me to this very day was "You were the biggest mistake I ever made" Ahhh, a mothers love, cant beat it hey!
