... my favourite sounds would be:
1) the sound of the ocean at night. My childhood home was right along the coast, with the beach literally at the end of our street. We moved away from that place a long time ago, and I DO miss the sound of the waves lulling me to sleep at night. It was so calming and relaxing. I miss the cool coastal breeze as well. Winters were freezing, especially with the coastal gale force winds buffeting the house, but in warm summers, the coastal breeze was welcomed.
2) the sound of a car driving when it is raining. I don't know why, I just love the sloshing sound as the tires roll across the wet road and through the puddles.
3) the sound of a car, or better yet a motorbike, driving about at night. Like you hear in the movies when there is a long driving scene. Engine revving and rolling along just nicely. Where I live now is not too far from they city bypass (the motorway), there are also a lot of long straight coastal roads where drivers can really get into enjoying their driving. During the day of course traffic is really busy, but at night traffic is minimal. It is amazing how sound can travel at night. Anyway, occasionally I will wake to the sound of an engine as someone drives up and down these long roads. Sometimes they seem to race up around the roundabout, then back to where they started... around... and around... and around. It sounds like fun.
