y favorite is a lovely handcrafted pendant that g got me for my birthday. I told him about an artist I adored in the Spanish Village and when we went he wasn't there. The next time we visited, he was right out front and I introduced him to the work and said I'd love a piece of it with malachite.
He surprised me by meeting the artist (I'll include his name when I think of it) during the week and having that for me on my birthday.
This is my favorite because of how responsive and loving the gesture was - getting me just what I wanted and surprising me by doing so. My other favorites are things that have been made for me or are family heirlooms.

Back when I was creating and selling my glass art through a gallery the most fun was when someone gave me a commission to make something special for them. That made it very exciting for me instead of me racking my brain to come up with designs that appealed to me but I had no idea if they would be liked by someone else. And, since the gallery sold them I seldom met the person who bought my art.   |
