Horse Crazy

A large part of my childhood play time was spent with my beloved Breyer brand horses.

I cherished every single one I owned, and when birthdays and Christmas time rolled around, no one needed to ask what was at the top of my wish list. Many, many hours was spent playing and imagining great stories with these horses. I even had some accessories and a western, leather saddle. I think I still have that saddle in storage some where.

One of my all time favorites was a buckskin-colored Mustang with black mane. But I really loved them all.

Oh me too! I played with mine so much that most are in less than pristine condition. I think I have that buckskin colored Mustang! That is an specially nice one!<br />
I still have many of my old Breyer's stored away in a couple large boxes. An interesting memory for me is that when I was just about 5 years old I set my sights on obtaining a Breyer Longhorn Bull that I saw in a local toy store. I think it was priced at about $5. I saved all my allowance until I could finally claim this bull for my own. To this day I'm not sure why I, as such a young city kid, was so attracted to this model. I have it still and it's in pretty good condition. The bovines weren't played with as roughly as the equines were.
