Discerment

Discernment

The bible speaks about false prophets a lot, but when I asked some people who read the bible if they could identify a false prophet, their answer was always I am not sure.

To be able to identify not only a false prophet, but also anyone who says they are sent from GOD and are listening and doing what HE says, one must know without doubt who GOD is.

GOD is all about love. HE teaches and disciplines with love. He never strikes you, He never tells you to do anything that goes against what love is. He never tells you to do anything illegal. He never tells you to hit, or kill anyone. If you are a student of His, and He tells you something, and you don’t want to do what He says, He steps back and waits for another time to approach you again. He continues to do this until you accept to do what He is asking. He will not argue with you, but He will listen to all the arguments [pleadings] you want to express with Him. Do not think you will win, because that is fruitless. You will never win with Him. He has gotten angry with me once and yelled at me, which shook me up, but His anger only lasted while He was yelling at me. He loves music of all kind, and poetry and shares them as a way of communicating with you. He has a very lively sense of humor, and loves to make you laugh, but can be very serious when need be.

I just described GOD’S behavior, as He has presented Himself to me over the years. Through this knowledge, I know that when anything differs from my knowledge it is not truth. You can also discern by the words people speak.

A false prophet will always give it away what their true intentions are, but you have to be aware enough to see or hear them.

Here are some scriptures that Christ speaks about when he speaks about the Tree[person] and the fruit [behavior.]

Matthew 7:15-20
15 Be on your guard against false prophets; they come to you looking like sheep on the outside, but on the inside they are really like wild wolves. [16] You will know them by what they do [behavior]. Thorn bushes do not bear grapes, and briers do not bear figs. [17] A healthy tree bears good fruit, but a poor tree bears bad fruit.[18] A healthy tree cannot bear good fruit,[19] And any tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire. [20] So then, you will the false prophets by what they do.

Jesus is also teaching about behavior of people. Behavior is a primary tool for discernment.
