What is the National Autism Association?

National Autism Association is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advocate, educate, and empower. They advocate on behalf of those who cannot fight for their own rights. They raise public and professional awareness of autism spectrum disorders. They empower those in the autism community to never give up in their search to help their loved ones reach their full potential.

What does the National Autism Association provide for those affected by autism?

We are a parent-founded, parent-led advocacy organization established in 2003. We provide unique programs for families affected by autism. We believe that autism is a biologically based, treatable disorder.

How will the National Autism Association use the funds raised by this game?

  • Helping Hand Program - This program provides grants to help families in financial need to provide crucial therapies and biomedical treatments for their children.
  • Family First Program - The divorce rate within the autism community has been creeping up for quite some time. With the explosion in autism cases comes many more challenges with couples in our community. Family First was launched to provide couples within our community a way to access counseling on a 24/7 basis.
  • FOUND Program - In an online survey, 92% of the parents who responded said their child with autism was at risk of wandering. Our newest program, FOUND partners with Project Lifesaver to provide tracking wristbands for children who are at risk. The recovery rate is 100%. Our goal is to have Project Lifesaver available throughout the country.
  • Progress Research Fund - This fund is dedicated to cutting-edge research aimed at gaining meaningful clues into treating autism. We feel most research is more "nice to know" than "need to know." This fund targets studies that will create better progress for our children.

Experience Project Believes in Community-Driven Contribution
Experience Project (EP) embraces the idea of an identity being multifaceted and dynamic. We believes each individual possesses their own uniqueness through their interests, beliefs, relationships, passions, and life experiences. EP provides the chance to explore and express that uniqueness. Often that comes in the form of conversation around causes and issues that matter to our members. Experience Project feels it is important to address and contribute to those social topics the community cares about and supports.
